Job summary

Phenospex is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the definition, execution, and lifecycle delivery of our software and hardware solutions. You will bridge scientists, R&D, software/hardware engineering and commercial teams to shape a strategic product roadmap.

You will own go-to-market strategy, engage with global accounts, and drive cross-functional initiatives, balancing technical roadmaps with commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Product Management experience in B2B software (and ideally integrated hardware)
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and product lifecycles
• Experience translating complex user needs into software/hardware requirements and specs
• Excellent English communication; confident presenting to executives
• Willingness for occasional international travel (~10%)
• Background in Plant Science, Biotechnology or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year product roadmaps by integrating market data, user feedback and customer input into high-impact initiatives.
• Translate customer problems into clear requirements, specs and user stories with R&D, software/hardware teams.
• Drive product positioning, pricing models and collaborate with Marketing and Sales on launches.
• Pilot, validate and co-develop next-gen products with key global accounts and researchers.

Reporting directly to the Head of Product, you will serve as the strategic bridge connecting scientific end-users, R&D, software engineering and commercial teams.

What you’ll do

• Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Formulate and execute multi-year product roadmaps, combining market research, user data and customer feedback into high-impact software and hardware initiatives.




• Solution Definition & Agile Execution: Work side-by-side with R&D, Software/Hardware Engineering and UX/UI teams to translate complex customer problems into clear product requirements, technical specifications and user stories.




• Go-To-Market & Commercial Strategy: Drive product positioning, define pricing models and collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales on launch strategies, product demos and annual Product Days.




• Strategic Customer Engagement: Partner directly with key global accounts, researchers and scientific leaders to pilot, validate and co-develop next-generation products in real-world environments.




• Cross-Functional Leadership: Champion the voice of the customer internally, establishing clear KPIs for product releases and driving continuous improvement across Engineering, Sales and Application teams.

Your profile

Who we’re looking for

As an \"orchestrator\" of technology and user value, you love turning deep technical complexity into sleek, intuitive product experiences. You thrive in fast-paced B2B or scientific environments, possess an entrepreneurial mindset and know how to unite cross-functional teams around a shared product vision.

You also bring:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience in B2B tech). A background in Plant Science, Biotechnology or an MBA is a great plus!




• Proven Track Record: 5+ years of progressive Product Management experience, with proven success delivering complex B2B software (and ideally integrated hardware) products to market.




• Technical Mastery: Thorough knowledge of modern Agile/Scrum frameworks, with a strong grasp of software architecture and development lifecycles (experience with IoT, image analysis, computer vision or scientific instrumentation is an advantage).




• Communication & Mobility: Exceptional English communication skills, with the confidence to present to executives and scientific leaders, combined with full flexibility for occasional international travel (~10%).
