Job description

EV charging looks simple until you get anywhere near the software behind it.

Charge points, roaming networks, payments, drivers, energy, multiple markets and a lot of different parties that all need the thing to work. This team builds the platform sitting in the middle of that complexity, supporting charging infrastructure across Europe.

They’re part of a major European mobility group, but the product team itself is small, experienced and genuinely hands‑on. You won’t be sitting above the work, managing a roadmap and moving tickets around. You’ll be expected to understand the problem, make decisions and help turn it into something customers will actually use.

You’ll own products and managed services from the initial opportunity through to launch, adoption and ongoing profitability.

That means:

  • Speaking directly with customers and finding the problem behind the request
  • Turning market opportunities into clear product propositions
  • Working closely with engineering, design, data and commercial teams
  • Owning the roadmap, go-to-market and product lifecycle
  • Using data and customer feedback to decide what happens next
  • Presenting decisions to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Keeping an eye on commercial performance, not just whether something shipped

There’s proper scale here, but still enough room to shape what gets built and how the product team works.

You could already be a Product Manager or Product Owner, but I’m not overly precious about titles. You may have come through software engineering, solutions, business development or another technical role and moved closer to product.

Experience in EV charging would obviously be useful, but it isn’t essential. Energy, mobility, payments, telecoms, e-commerce or complex B2B SaaS could all transfer well.

More important is that you can move comfortably between customers, engineers and commercial teams. You understand technical constraints, ask good questions and can make a decision without waiting for perfect information.
