Job summary

Polarsteps, an Amsterdam-based travel app company, is seeking a Product Designer to lead the visual and motion design of the Digital Relive experience. You will shape new visual language for shareable trip artefacts, work closely with product managers and developers, and bring concepts to life with motion prototypes.

You will contribute to a small, design-driven team that values collaboration, experimentation, and beautiful, user-centered design across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing visually-driven products.
• Strong portfolio with shipped visual work including typography, motion, layout and storytelling.
• Proficiency with design tools like Figma and prototyping tools such as Principle or Protopie to turn concepts into prototypes.
• Hands-on craft with motion/video using After Effects and Premiere.
• UX/service-design sensibility to work with app data and flows and surface meaningful ideas.
• Proactive mindset to illustrate ideas with visual examples for developers.
• Comfortable in an agile team that moves fast and iterates incrementally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of the Digital Relive team and build new ways for travelers to relive trips.
• Follows brand guidelines while shaping new visual and motion language for shareable artefacts like Trip Reels and Map Video.
• Own your product pillar and collaborate with product managers and developers, sharing feedback and providing motion prototypes.
• Translate motion and visual concepts into technical requirements with developers to ensure accurate implementation.
