Job summary

Sendcloud is seeking a Senior Product Designer for the Merchant Experience team. You will own intelligence-driven product areas from problem framing to polished delivery, crafting experiences where data, automation and agents feel simple and reliable for merchants across Europe.

Collaborate with Product and Engineering to scale solutions, contribute to the design system, and ensure consistent, high-quality design across the platform. Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a product designer owning complex areas end to end.
• Collaborates daily with product managers and engineers from problem framing to shipped solutions.
• Uses research, prototyping and data to validate decisions before engineering time.
• Experience designing data-heavy, automation-, or AI-driven product experiences is a plus.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.

You'll join the Merchant Experience team within our Intelligence domain, where data, automations and agents come together to help merchants work smarter with less effort. As a Senior Product Designer, you take ownership of complex product areas from start to finish, turning unclear problems into experiences merchants can rely on every day. Together with Product, Engineering and other designers, you'll raise the bar for quality and influence decisions well beyond your own team. The work you ship here shapes how merchants across Europe experience intelligence-driven shipping.

The Role

• As the Senior Product Designer for Merchant Experience, you own intelligence-driven product areas end to end, from shaping the problem to delivering a polished solution.
• You design features where complex data, automations and agents need to feel simple, predictable and clear to merchants.
• You connect your work to the wider Sendcloud platform through close collaboration with Product, Engineering and other designers.
• You define problems clearly, manage dependencies across teams, and make trade-offs that keep the work moving without cutting corners.
• You look beyond your own scope, contributing to the design system and helping the team raise its overall bar for quality.

What you'll do

• Design intelligence-driven product experiences that help merchants ship smarter and with less friction.
• Own your domain end to end, from shaping ambiguous problems to delivering polished, production-ready solutions.
• Partner daily with product managers and engineers to explore problems, question assumptions and turn insights into solutions that scale.
• Use research, prototyping and data to test ideas early and avoid unnecessary rework later.
• Handle dependencies across teams and make smart trade-offs while keeping the full design process on track.
• Design for clarity, predictability and edge cases in features involving data, automations and intelligent behaviour.
• Use modern tools, including AI, in your own workflow to move faster without losing quality.
• Contribute to the design system and share feedback that helps other designers raise their own bar.

• You're comfortable owning ambiguity. You'd rather define the problem than wait for someone else to hand you a clean brief.
• You hold a high bar for quality and push for it even when it slows things down in the short term.
• You think beyond your own scope and care about the consistency of the wider product experience.

Professionally

• Several years of experience as a product designer, with a track record of owning complex product areas end to end.
• Comfortable working closely with product managers and engineers day to day, from early problem framing through to shipped solutions.
• Confident using research, prototyping and data to validate decisions before committing engineering time.
• Experience designing for data-heavy, automated or AI-driven product experiences is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
