Job summary

Adyen in Amsterdam is seeking a fast learner and hands-on Procurement Manager to join our global Procurement team. You will partner with Infrastructure, Data Center Engineering, Legal and Sustainability to deliver value and enable strategies.

You will lead commercial negotiations, manage supplier selection, RFx and screening, and work with the Infrastructure team on roadmaps including DC expansion. You’ll monitor vendor performance and report on industry trends, building strong relationships

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, including category management or sourcing.
• Deep knowledge of Data Center hardware and services.
• Well-organized with a pragmatic problem-solving approach.
• Data-driven with an analytical mindset.
• Natural networker with stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English; another language is a plus.

We are looking for a fast learner and hands-on Procurement Manager to join Adyen's Procurement team, a dynamic global team within our Finance function. The goal of the team is to contribute to Adyen’s 10x ambition through sustainable commercial decisions, risk mitigation, contract and vendor management, ultimately empowering stakeholders to deliver their strategies. You will work in the data center category, alongside another category manager and a supply chain manager, but as Adyen grows, and the Procurement team with it, this scope might change and increase in the future.

What you'll do

• Act as a business partner to stakeholders such as Infrastructure, Data Center Engineering, Legal and Sustainability, delivering value and enabling their strategies.
• Lead and initiate commercial negotiations, including but not limited to contract renewals and setting up new agreements.
• Be responsible for the supplier selection process, RFx and screening.
• Work with the Infrastructure team on roadmaps, including our DC expansion plans.
• Do vendor monitoring on performance and contractual agreements.
• Be tracking and reporting on industry trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors.

Who you are

• 7+ years of relevant experience, including category management or sourcing.
• Deep knowledge and experience of and within the Data Center space, hardware and services.
• Well-organized and like to solve problems with a pragmatic approach.
• Data driven with an analytical mindset.
• A natural networker, great in stakeholder management and negotiations.
• Proficient in English; fluency in another language is an added advantage.
• Have a global mindset, and are able to work across time zones and cultures.
• Have project management skills, are resourceful, and able to work independently.
