Job summary

GreenFlux is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our agile development team in Amsterdam. You will design and implement scalable, cloud-native services, lead architectural discussions and mentor colleagues to raise code quality and delivery speed.

You will work with C#/.NET, Vue.js, Azure, and microservices, shaping the platform for large-scale customers while driving secure coding practices and cost-aware cloud usage.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building large-scale systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience (Azure preferred).
• Strong understanding of backend and frontend architecture.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills; tech-lead experience is a plus.
• Experience leading technical design activities for new features.
• Focus on code quality, secure coding, and cost-aware cloud usage.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation of the SDLC.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.

This software platform connects Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and e-Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs - offering charging services to EV drivers), and enables them to successfully launch their businesses. The job

You will work in an Agile end-to-end team operating within the development department that benefits from well-defined and transparent processes. Your team is self-organized and adaptive. You will work with unique, complex, and non-trivial algorithms, and with a high amount of data from various sources. This presents a challenge, but also numerous opportunities for growth, supported by a highly collaborative team. We place great emphasis on quality control and documentation.

You are enthusiastic about building scalable, high-load, and cloud-native solutions in a fast-moving company. You are eager to learn, flexible, and open to working with a wide range of techniques and technologies. You have strong communication skills, enabling you to understand user needs and translate them into clear requirements and high-quality code. You write clean, organized, and testable code, while actively contributing to a collaborative engineering culture by helping colleagues, mentoring developers, and participating in architecture discussions.

In addition to your technical expertise, you take an active role in shaping the broader engineering organization. Together with peer developers from other teams, the Heads of Engineering and the Development Director, you share responsibility for defining, developing, and safeguarding the architecture of the entire GreenFlux platform. You continuously monitor and drive code quality, promote secure coding practices, and optimize cloud infrastructure usage and costs within the organization. By guiding, coaching, and mentoring fellow developers, you foster technical excellence and help move both your team and the organization forward.

Requirements

You have:

• 7+ years of experience in any object-oriented programming language, building large-scale complex systems. While we extensively use C#/.Net and Vue.js, we believe that problem-solving skills are more important than the language or framework that is being used.
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience (preferably Azure).
• A good understanding of software architecture and design principles in both backend and front-end engineering.
• Love working in a team: Great communication and coaching skills are essential, having some tech-lead experience is a strong plus.
• An understanding of quality control and the importance of testing the code before release.
• Experience with taking the lead on technical design activities for new features.
• A drive to monitor and steer code quality & practices, cloud infrastructure usage and costs.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation of the software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of microservice and architectures and distributed systems.
• A drive for continuous learning and self-improvement.
• Professional fluency in English.
• A sustainable mindset!

Nice to have:

• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Experience with defining and integrating HTTP (REST) APIs.
• Experience working in self-organizing teams and/or with LeSS.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
