Job summary

GreenFlux in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to advance automation and standardization of our Azure DevOps and cloud landscape. You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Development, Operations and Product teams to improve deployment processes, promote IaC practices, and ensure secure, scalable platform operations.

This hands-on role expects ownership, clear communication, and the ability to drive technical standardization across teams, while documenting work

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services.

The Job

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Development Department.

In this role, you will help us further standardize, automate and modernize our Azure DevOps and Azure infrastructure landscape, both from a technical and process point of view. You will work closely with Infrastructure, Development, Operations and Product teams to improve deployment processes, strengthen Infrastructure as Code practices, increase reusability, and support secure and scalable cloud platform operations.

This is a hands‑on senior engineering role for someone who can not only maintain existing solutions, but also challenge current ways of working, propose improvements, and help drive technical standardization across teams. You can explain technical concepts clearly, document your work properly, and ask the right critical questions when needed.

You should be confident in taking ownership of technical topics, while also understanding the importance of alignment, reusability, security and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and improve our Azure DevOps environment, with a strong focus on automation, scalability, standardization and security.
• Design, implement and maintain reusable CI/CD pipelines using YAML, ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects.
• Improve pipeline consistency across projects, including multi-repository pipeline patterns and reusable pipeline components.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code practices using Bicep, with a strong focus on module reusability, maintainability and standardization.
• Contribute to the modernization of deployment processes across multiple products and teams.
• Contribute to the adoption of Managed Identity across Azure resources and deployment workflows.
• Work on Azure networking topics such as VNets, VPN Gateway, PrivateLink and Private DNS zones.
• Deploy, configure and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including services such as App Service, Key Vault, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts and Service Bus.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks, deployment workflows and recurring infrastructure activities.
• Support secure access management and identity-related improvements across Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot Azure DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation, best practices and infrastructure standards.
• Stay up to date with Azure and Azure DevOps best practices, continuously driving innovation and improvement within the infrastructure team.
  

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience with YAML pipelines, CI/CD automation and Azure DevOps platform usage.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, designing reusable IaC modules and promoting standardization across teams.
• Good knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including VNets, VPN Gateway, DNS, PrivateLink and related connectivity patterns.
• Good understanding of Managed Identity and identity-based access patterns in Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services such as App Service, Key Vault, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts and Service Bus.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Good understanding of security, access management and least privilege principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across infrastructure, development and operations topics.
• Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• A structured, precise and documentation‑minded way of working.
• A sustainable mindset!

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization and AKS.
• Microsoft Azure and/or Azure DevOps certifications, such as AZ-400, AZ-305 or similar.
