SBM Offshore in Rotterdam is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to develop, maintain and optimize project schedules, coordinating with engineering, procurement and construction to ensure timely execution.

You will lead scheduling using Primavera P6 or MS Project, monitor progress, forecast trends, present earned value reports, and mentor junior planners in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in project planning within the oil and gas sector.
• Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6 preferred).
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities.

Responsabilités

• Develop and oversee detailed project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary project data and milestones.
• Monitor and oversee project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Prepare and oversee regular progress reports, including schedule updates, earned value analysis, and performance metrics.
• Analyze project trends and provide forecasts to support decision-making.
• Lead planning meetings and workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Mentor more junior Planning Engineers and support their development
