Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior PHP/Symfony Engineer – Integrations & Automation to join a fully remote team across Europe. You will shape platform architecture, enhance data synchronization, and ensure reliable operation of business workflows across ERP, eCommerce, CRM, and sales tools.

The role blends backend engineering with API integrations, browser automation, AI-powered product data enrichment, and React-based internal tooling.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of professional software development experience with PHP and Symfony.
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining production integrations and automation workflows with ERP, eCommerce, CRMs, and sales tools.
Strong software architecture skills for scalable, maintainable and monitorable apps.
Relational data modeling with PostgreSQL; practical experience with Doctrine ORM.
Expert knowledge of PHP 8 and Symfony framework.
Experience with Redis caching.
Hands-on experience with Symfony Messenger and asynchronous processing.
Experience integrating systems via REST, GraphQL, and SOAP, with webhooks and bulk operations.
Web crawling/scraping and headless browser automation using Node.js (Playwright or Puppeteer).
Frontend development with React.
Automated testing with PHPUnit and Playwright; CI/CD pipelines.
Attention to detail, problem-solving, and quick learning of new systems.
Ownership-driven mentality for production reliability.
Familiarity with ERP/eCommerce data models, CRM automation, SEO automation, or related industries is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively in a remote team with overlapping hours 10:00–19:00 CET

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the architecture of the internal business automation platform for scalability, maintainability, observability and reliability.
Design and maintain data models for customers, orders, leads, accounts, and products using relational databases and Doctrine ORM.
Build, operate, and improve daily synchronization workflows across ERP, eCommerce, and sales tools; include data write-backs and lead scoring.
Develop and maintain integrations with eCommerce platforms using GraphQL, bulk ops, and webhooks; plus REST/SOAP for other systems.
Improve synchronization reliability by handling rate limits, missing records, failures, and data inconsistencies.
Build and maintain browser automation workflows with Node.js headless browsers and web scraping with proxy infrastructure.
Use AI models to enrich and categorize product data while balancing cost and accuracy.
Manage Symfony Messenger queues, scheduled jobs, background workers, and asynchronous processing.
Maintain production health with monitoring, alerts, runbooks, and reduced noise.
Develop and maintain React-based interfaces for internal users and automate sales engagement and SEO workflows.
Strengthen automated testing with unit and end-to-end tests; ensure CI/CD reliability.
Collaborate with the existing developer to own technical outcomes and simplify workflows for performance gains.
