Job summary

Finom in Amsterdam is seeking a senior partnerships leader to build and scale our German partner ecosystem from the ground up.

You will own the German market, sign strategic partnerships, design referral programs, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product to drive measurable growth and customer acquisition across Europe.

Qualifications

• Native-level German and professional English are compulsory.
• 3-5 years of work experience in partnerships or business development.
• Experience in fintech, financial services or SMEs is a strong plus.
• Hunter's mindset: opening doors, building relationships from scratch.
• Strong commercial judgment to structure partnerships and negotiate terms.
• Self-starter with autonomy in a remote, fast-moving environment.
• Prior Start Up / Scale Up experience is a must.
• Nice to have Italian or French language skills.

About the Role

As our first (Senior) Partnerships Manager in Germany, you will build our partner ecosystem from the ground up - signing and scaling the partnerships that bring entrepreneurs and SMEs in Germany to Finom.

Reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships, this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports at the outset. You won't be managing an existing channel: you'll be leading our growth in Europe's biggest SME market, and playing a defining role in Finom's next chapter.

What You'll Do

• Own the German market. You decide which partners to go after, how to win them, and where to double down. This is your territory - you hunt, you close, you build.

• Sign the deals that move the needle. From conceptualizing the partner profile to signing agreements, you'll bring in the partners that become real acquisition channels.

• Turn partnerships into growth. Design referral programs, co-marketing, events, and integrations that measurably drive new customers - and kill what doesn't work, fast.

• Build the playbook, not follow one. There's no established channel to inherit. What works in Germany will be defined by what you build and will shape how Finom does partnerships everywhere.

• Be Finom's face in the ecosystem. Represent Finom and network at industry events and inside the German fintech and SME scene.

• Pull the company behind your channel. Work directly with Marketing, Sales, and Product to get partners what they need and bring German market insight straight to the people building the product.

What We're Looking For

• Native-level German and professional fluent English (our working language) are compulsory

• 3-5 years of work experience, in partnerships, business development, or a related commercial role

• Experience in Fintech, financial services or SMEs is a strong plus

• A hunter's mindset: you enjoy opening doors, building relationships from scratch, and are thrive owning a number

• Strong commercial judgment - you can structure a partnership, negotiate terms, and prioritize based on impact

• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy in a remote, fast-moving environment

• Prior experience working in a Start Up / Scale Up environment is a must

• Nice to have: Italian or French language skills
