Job summary

Finom, a European fintech headquartered in Amsterdam, seeks an Enterprise Risk & Reporting Lead to build and operate a robust risk framework supporting safe growth and regulatory readiness.

Initially hands-on, the role will evolve into leading the enterprise risk and reporting function across Europe, coordinating with regulators, governance bodies, and senior management.

Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management or regulatory risk in a financial services or banking setting.
  • Strong knowledge of risk appetite, scenario analysis, stress testing, and ICAAP.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting, supervisors, and governance interactions.
  • CFA or equivalent certifications are preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills for senior stakeholders.

The Enterprise Risk & Reporting Lead plays a critical role in building andoperating the company’s enterprise risk. The role is responsible forestablishing and executing a robust enterprise risk management frameworkthat supports safe growth, regulatory readiness, and informed decision-making across the organisation. It ensures that key risks are identified,assessed, monitored, and reported in a consistent and forward-lookingmanner, aligned with regulatory expectations and the company’s strategicobjectives.This role provides the structure and insight needed to define risk appetite,assess resilience under stress, support capital and liquidity planning, andensure that new products and strategic changes are evaluated through aclear risk lens. By translating complex risk information into clear, actionablereporting for senior management and governance bodies, the role enablestransparency, accountability, and effective oversight. Initially operating as ahands-on role, it will evolve into a leadership position responsible forbuilding and scaling the enterprise risk and reporting function in line with thecompany’s growth and licensing ambitions.
About You and What You'll Do:
  • 6–10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, regulatory risk, or a related discipline within a regulated financial services orbanking environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks, including Risk Appetite, RCSA, scenario analysis, stress testing, and ICAAP.
  • Experience working with regulatory expectations relevant to banks or payment institutions, including capital, liquidity, and operational risk requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting and interactions with supervisors, auditors, and internal governance bodies.
  • Professional risk or finance certifications such as CFA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex risk and financial data into clear, concise management and regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders and regulators.
  • Proven ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy, while also collaborating effectively across functions and building strong working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and judgment skills, with the confidence to make decisions, escalate issues, and operate in a fast-growing, evolving regulatory environment.
