Job summary

Wesco Anixter is establishing a new distribution centre in Almere and seeks a Senior Manager Operations to lead the setup and ongoing operations. You will direct a multifunctional team and align warehousing, inventory, kitting, testing and deployment to customer needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in operations, including senior roles in distribution/contract logistics.
• Strong leadership of large teams (approx. 50 employees) and accountability for results.
• Experience setting up or scaling a new facility: fit-out, onboarding new customers, and rolling out processes.
• KPI-driven management for service quality, safety, productivity and customer satisfaction; Lean/Six Sigma mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup of a brand-new distribution centre in Almere and manage a multifunctional operation within the Centre of Excellence.
• Deliver Supply Chain Services including warehousing, inventory management, kitting, integration and testing.
• Maintain P&L responsibility and annual budgets for the facility; manage working capital and inventory.
• Ensure audits and ISO 9000 compliance; recruit, coach and appraise staff; drive preventive maintenance and readiness of the facility.

Bachelor's degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Business Administration
