Job summary

Madison People International seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to deliver expertise across offshore and marine projects. You will perform and review calculations, develop engineering solutions, and ensure safe, compliant structures and lifting activities throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on experience with structural drawings, deck layouts, lifting plans, and reports, plus knowledge of offshore regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural/Mechanical/Naval/Civil or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of offshore/marine/oil & gas experience.
At least 3 years hands-on structural engineering experience.
Experience performing structural calculations and assessments rather than only coordinating activities.
Experience developing/reviewing structural drawings, deck layouts, lifting plans, and technical reports.
Strong understanding of heavy lifting, loads, deck capacity, and lifting arrangements.
Experience with offshore structures (topsides, jackets, platforms, vessels, frames).
Knowledge of offshore/marine regulations and structural standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software (SACS, ANSYS, STAAD.Pro, FEM).
Willingness to travel offshore and to project sites; fluent English.

Responsibilities

Perform structural calculations and assessments for offshore/marine projects.
Develop and review structural drawings, deck layouts, lifting plans, and technical reports.
Carry out structural checks for heavy lifting operations and load assessments.
Identify deficiencies and develop engineering solutions.
Support concept development, pre-engineering, and detailed design.
Provide structural support for offshore installation, transportation, and vessel activities.
Review documentation from internal and external teams; ensure compliance with standards.
Promote safety, quality, and environmental performance.
