Job summary

TenneT is seeking a Contract & Claim Manager to oversee contractual and commercial risks on complex offshore projects in the Netherlands. You will manage claims, negotiate variations, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure reliable, affordable and sustainable energy delivery.

The role sits in the Offshore organization, within a Portfolio department, with a couple of days onsite in Arnhem and extensive interaction with stakeholders across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a legal, technical or commercial discipline.
• Approximately 5–8 years of experience in Contract Management or Claims Management.
• Solid knowledge of FIDIC contracts, preferably including the Silver Book.
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects with variations, delay and entitlement assessment.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle, procurement through commissioning.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer contractual and claims matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Co-develop and implement claim management strategies to minimize exposure while maintaining contractor relations.
• Prepare, assess and negotiate variation orders and claims with contractors.
• Maintain robust claim files, registers and contractual correspondence.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal and contractors to deliver project outcomes.
