Job summary

FairPlay Engineering BV in the Netherlands seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the nuclear innovation team. You will apply your technical knowledge across project phases, design and modify nuclear systems, and provide support for operation and maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive design changes and document risk assessments and implementation plans.

Qualifications

• University-level (WO) education in engineering (Mechanical).
• Ability to think conceptually with broad perspective.
• Team player with high safety awareness and motivation to learn.
• Detail-oriented with a solution-focused mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Nuclear installations experience is a plus.
• Willing to own projects in a nuclear environment.

Responsibilities

• Make adjustments and solve technical issues related to an existing nuclear reactor.
• Apply mechanical engineering knowledge across project phases.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on design changes.
• Develop and review technical documentation, risk assessments, and implementation plans.
• Support safety and compliance within the nuclear facilities.
