Job summary

NCIM in The Hague is seeking a senior .NET engineer to set the technical direction of critical systems and mentor engineers in a hybrid role. You will design robust, secure solutions for high-pressure environments like defence and national security domains, working with C#, .NET, EF and modern frontend stacks.

The role emphasizes hands-on architecture, code quality, and collaboration with clients to shape feasible designs while adhering to SOLID principles and agile practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or software engineering or AI.
• At least 7 years of experience as a .NET software engineer.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET and Entity Framework.
• Frontend experience with Angular, React or Vue.js.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum; applies SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and architecture of critical .NET systems.
• Design robust solutions where security is integral.
• Mentor medior and junior engineers and raise the team's technical bar.
• Spar with the client on design choices and feasibility.
• Guard the quality bar through reviews, standards and agreements.
