Adyen is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for our Amsterdam office. You will design, productionize, and maintain robust ML services powering data products. The role emphasizes building scalable ML systems in production, with collaboration across ML, data, and software teams.

You will tackle challenges in risk, fraud prevention, and payments at scale, contributing to a modern, model-first detection engine and deployment strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an engineer in the machine learning domain.
• Strong Python programmer with production ML lifecycle experience.
• Experience leveraging big data to feed models and build pipelines.
• Knowledge of data science, statistics and ML techniques.
• Familiarity with Python ML stack and MLOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production ML pipelines for data ingestion, training, validation, and deployment.
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks in ML training and inference (memory, latency, training time).
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate ML solutions into products and services.
• Collaborate with data scientists to transition research prototypes into scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with MLOps and platform teams to integrate tools and shape future tooling.
• Support and encourage good engineering practices on product ML teams.
