Job summary

Sia Partners' is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to grow our Data team in Amsterdam. You will shape and execute the future of AI capabilities, impacting client projects and Sia AI initiatives across our Dutch and international teams.

You will lead production ML/AI solutions, guide Data Scientists to scale models, and contribute to trainings, events, and thought leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of production ML/Deep Learning pipelines experience.
• Strong knowledge in ML fundamentals with domain expertise.
• Expert in Python and at least one of Scala, C++, or Java.
• Hands-on SQL/PostgreSQL experience.
• Cloud exposure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Docker/Kubernetes experience and Unix CLI; Big Data tech familiarity.
• Passion for data/AI and ability to mentor others.
• Willingness to travel; English and Dutch fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead an internal team to develop AI products.
• Work on client projects and internal Sia AI solutions.
• Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments.
• Build production ML/AI solutions with strong software engineering.
• Guide Data Scientists to production, optimization and testing.
• Deliver trainings and lead internal/external events.
• Present at conferences and write about your work.
