Job summary

Optics11 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical and structural design of the OptiArray system for offshore deployment and subsea operation. You will translate requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions and produce complete design records and analyses.

You will collaborate with Product System Engineering, Verification & Validation, Lifecycle Engineering, and offshore partners to ensure successful development and industrialization of the array.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and realize robust, manufacturable mechanical and structural solutions for the OptiArray system across the development lifecycle.
• Translate product and system requirements into mechanical designs suitable for offshore deployment and long-term subsea operation.
• Design and integrate structural components, interfaces, mounting features, lifting arrangements, and corrosion protection.
• Produce engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, interface documentation, and design records.
• Perform structural engineering analyses and testing, including lifting loads, fatigue, hydrodynamics, environmental loads, and robustness.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes and models to validate structural performance and manufacturability.
• Drive design improvements focused on manufacturability, assembly, maintainability, reliability, and lifecycle performance.
• Support product integration, verification, qualification, FAT, and industrialization activities, resolving mechanical issues.
