Job summary

Haskoning in Nijmegen is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer (MCF/Data Centres) to lead complex mechanical design for mission-critical facilities across EU projects. You will deliver designs up to working documentation level, manage work packages, coordinate with vendors and regulators, and support cost planning and risk assessments in live data-centre environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/ or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of mechanical design experience.
• Data centre design experience in mission critical or high availability environments.
• Knowledge of design and construction industry practices.
• Experience in multidisciplinary environments and detailed design development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver mechanical work packages across multiple projects.
• Define scope, design objectives, and deliver complete documentation to contractors and regulators.
• Prepare specifications and reports, including tender documentation and evaluations.
• Support project manager in cost preparation and risk assessments in live environments.
• Represent Haskoning during factory acceptance tests and on-site commissioning.
