Job summary

IMSystems is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to advance precision mechanical systems, focusing on rolling-contact components. You will lead design decisions, coordinate with R&D and production, and ensure robust manufacturability from concept to production.

The role requires deep expertise in precision mechanics, strong English communication, and the ability to operate in a scale-up environment while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• MSc level thinking or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in high-precision mechanical design.
• Strong knowledge of rolling-contact mechanics and application to design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the mechanical design of next generation Archimedes Drive from concept through industrialization.
• Apply rolling-contact mechanics to solve design problems effectively.
• Translate customer requirements into robust, manufacturable high-precision mechanical solutions.
• Own critical design decisions related to contact behavior, tolerances, lifetime and performance.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, FE simulations, and design validation of precision assemblies.
• Deliver production drawings and technical documentation.
