Are you passionate about mechanical design and engineering innovation? As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within our Custom Engineering department, you will play a key role in turning unique client requirements into high-quality technical solutions. At IQIP, we combine 30 years of leadership with a strong focus on sustainable innovation, and we build with care for future generations.

In this role, you will be responsible for independently drafting innovative mechanical designs and proposals for bespoke offshore equipment. You will act as a central figure in each project, ensuring collaboration across departments and with external parties to deliver equipment that precisely meets customer specifications. After a contract is awarded, your initial concept may be handed over to a colleague or you may continue leading its development through detailed engineering and into commissioning onboard the vessel. A working knowledge of hydraulics and control systems is essential.

Your Responsibilities:

• Translating customer requirements into functional specifications
• Developing and refining design concepts
• Preparing specification documents and design calculations
• Planning engineering activities on a global level
• Supervising technical specialists and evaluating design outcomes
• Ensuring smooth communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams

Your profile

• A completed diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Proven experience in capital goods industry as a mechanical designer
• Proficient in 3D CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or Inventor
• Capable of working with FEA engineers and reading FEMAP results
• Commercially driven with a strong focus on quality and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to motivate others
• Experience with detail engineering is preferred

• Monthly salary depending on level and expertise. (CAO Metalektro)
• 8% holiday allowance, paid annually
