We are hiring a Mechanical Designer for a renowned company in Rotterdam with an impressive track record in the Marine & Offshore industry. So if you would like to work on challenging unusual projects, keep on reading!

Function

We are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Designer. You will collaborate with your colleagues on various challenging projects. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining products and instruments that are part of the monitoring and control systems on board. Create and maintain detail and composition drawings (in CAD system) of mechanical parts of new and to be modified measuring transducers, control panels and structures for onboard component placement.

• Preparation of BOM and technical specifications.
• Setting up test conditions and performing quality checks.
• Collecting, editing and adding documentation to associated products.
• Act as point of contact for management and provide drawings and documentation upon request.

Who we are looking for:

To be successful it is important that you have good communication skills and the willingness to learn and develop yourself professionally. Furthermore you meet the following requirements:

• Education in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD .
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering is a plus.
• Experience working in a product data management package.
• Several years of experience in a similar position is desirable.
• Good general knowledge of production methods.
• Command of the English language.
• Independent, initiative and good communication skills.
