3D Printing Materials Science Polymer Chemistry Research and Development Material Development

As a Senior Materials Scientist, you'll be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking materials for our professional 3D printers. You'll have the opportunity to work in an autonomous environment with significant growth potential, collaborating with a diverse and innovative team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development of world‑class 3D printing materials, from initial lab exploration to commercialization.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless and reliable material printing.
  • Design and perform experiments to drive materials performance improvements.
  • Partner with product management and engineering to continuously improve our materials.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in polymer development (resins, coatings, adhesives, elastomers, films, foams, rubbers, composites, thermoplastics, or thermosets).
  • Solid understanding of polymer physics and chemistry, with expertise in formulating high‑performance materials (acrylate, urethane, epoxy, silicone, rubbers, or plastics).
  • Experience in process optimization, research reporting, and commercial support, with a proven track record in commercializing new products.
  • Creative and resourceful problem‑solver with the ability to balance speed and scientific rigor.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience mentoring junior scientists.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, or a related field.
