Job summary

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer for the Corporate Banking unit, focusing on Markets Integrity (MAD/MAR, MiFIR, EMIR). You will develop policies, maintain controls, and oversee regulatory implementation across the bank's entities.

The role involves collaboration with Legal, Risk, and frontline teams to ensure robust compliance coverage. You will lead the annual Markets Integrity plan, contribute to risk reporting to senior leadership, and support SIRA activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Law or other relevant field.
• Understanding of and working experience in investment services and financial markets.
• Strong working knowledge of MAD/MAR, MiFIR and EMIR.
• At least 8 years work experience, incl. 3 years in a compliance role in financial services.
• Experience with operational risk management processes.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Compliance policies for Market Abuse and Market Transparency.
• Define reference controls and drive implementation across entities.
• Monitor testing results and manage IMATs and action plans.
• Link regulations to policies, controls, procedures for Markets Integrity.
• Perform impact assessments on regulatory changes and coordinate actions.
• Provide Markets Integrity input to quarterly reports to the Executive Board and Supervisory Board.
• Formulate the annual plan for the Compliance Function in Markets Integrity.
• Support the annual Markets Integrity SIRA and maintain risk event library.
• Develop training material on Market Abuse and Market Transparency.
• Collaborate with Trade Surveillance and Global Control Room teams.
• Provide general business compliance advice and participate in projects for Corporate Banking/Markets.
