A global dredging and marine company is seeking an Engine Specialist in Papendrecht, Netherlands. In this role, you will provide expert technical support and project management for the maintenance and optimization of propulsion engines, such as Wärtsilä and Caterpillar. You will act as a technical authority, assessing complex issues and supporting repair decisions. This position includes responsibilities in knowledge sharing and requires strong communication skills. Qualifications
Experience as a chief engineer or senior service engineer with hands-on experience on multiple engine types.
Solid understanding of lubricants, fuels, engine-wear mechanisms.
Proven track record in managing 4-stroke marine engine and auxiliary system overhauls.
Responsibilities
Act as the technical reference point for Fleet Teams on propulsion and auxiliary engines.
Support Fleet Teams in understanding technical risks and consequences of repair decisions.
Attend critical repair moments on board or in-dock when technical judgment is required.
