Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden is seeking a Senior Manager Operations – Primary Recovery to lead a 140-person shift team, ensuring safe, compliant production of intermediate product for critical medicines. The role is office-hours with close ties to shift operations across departments.

You will drive continuous improvement, uphold GMP, coach supervisors and operators, and collaborate with Quality, MSAT, Maintenance, Planning and EHS to strengthen performance and culture while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of practical industrial experience in operations management.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of manufacturing supervisors and operators by providing direction, coaching and support.
• Build a strong team culture with clear objectives aligned with business goals and performance and talent cycles.
• Ensure engagement, motivation, and effectiveness within the shift organization; foster ownership and collaboration.
• Collaborate with Quality, MSAT, Maintenance, Planning, EHS and other Operations teams to optimize processes and drive a one-team approach across the site.
