Job summary
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Technical Operations & Engineering in Leiden, Netherlands to lead strategic operations, engineering, and maintenance for a multiproduct advanced therapies site. You will drive reliability, validation, and automation initiatives while shaping the long‑term technical strategy and ensuring site readiness for clinical and commercial manufacturing.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of leadership experience in GMP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in engineering/technical operations within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the site's Technical Operations and Engineering strategy to support multiproduct manufacturing, capacity expansion, and evolving business needs.
- Provide leadership for engineering programs supporting manufacturing equipment, facilities, automation, and critical utilities.
- Oversee validation, qualification, and lifecycle management of assets, including design, commissioning, qualification, and maintenance.
- Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve reliability, data integrity, and performance.
- Drive a high‑performing, inclusive organization with succession planning and workforce development.
