Job summary

Signify Technology is seeking a Mid-Senior Linux Engineer to own the Linux foundation driving the company’s 3D printers. You will shape security, reliability, and delivery, mentor engineers, and collaborate with firmware, robotics, and product teams in a hybrid Amsterdam environment.

The role requires strong Linux system-level skills, Python, and Docker expertise, with a focus on industrial-grade reliability and performance in field deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
• 4+ years software experience with track record of simple solutions for complex problems.
• Proficient in Python and CI/CD pipelines; strong Linux system-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Own build, customization, and update pipeline for Linux images deployed to printers.
• Design, develop, and maintain Linux-based print control software.
• Harden Linux platform security: patching, access control, secure updates.
• Lead development and operation of Linux + Docker platform from containers to deployment.
• Manage releases and ensure smooth deployments.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Optimize software for performance, scalability, reliability, and security in industrial environments.
• Contribute to automation, monitoring, and control software across the print stack.
