Job summary

Stafide in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise backend systems. You will drive microservices, REST/SOAP services, and secure deployments across the full SDLC, collaborating with Agile teams.

You should bring 8–10 years of Java backend experience, strong Spring Boot and microservices expertise, and hands-on Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker knowledge. Banking domain experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional Java backend experience.
• Expert in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps, repositories, code reviews, deployments, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Eclipse, and IntelliJ IDEA.
• Understanding Docker and containerized deployments.
• Lifecycle experience from development to production support.
• Strong Agile experience and best practices.
• Banking or Financial Services domain experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer-facing experience with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise backend applications using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance scalable microservices and REST/SOAP web services for banking apps.
• Manage the complete software development lifecycle from development to post-production support.
• Develop, deploy, and manage applications using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver secure, scalable software solutions.
• Perform code reviews, optimize performance, and enforce coding standards.
• Configure and manage build automation using Maven and Jenkins.
• Support containerized deployments and Docker-based delivery practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-driven solutions.
