Job summary

LUMICKS is seeking a Senior IT Engineer in Amsterdam to lead end-user IT support, automation, and Azure/365 identity management in a hybrid setup. You will own automation projects and improve the IT estate, collaborating with IT leadership on priorities.

You will drive security-conscious operations, manage PowerShell-based workflows, and deliver end-to-end IT improvements from planning to execution. English fluency is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on IT engineering or system administration.
• Strong practical experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and endpoint management across Windows and macOS.
• Automation experience using PowerShell or comparable scripting, workflow tooling and API-based integrations.
• Solid networking fundamentals: VLANs, routing, firewalls, wireless.
• Experience with an IT service management platform and structured practices such as incident, request and change management, ticket quality and documentation.
• A practical approach to security, including least privilege, zero trust, conditional access and endpoint compliance.
• Able to explain technical matters to colleagues who are experts in something else.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Dutch is useful, not required.

Responsibilities

• End user support across devices, SaaS apps, meeting rooms and the office network.
• Automation and self-service: workflows, automations, request catalogs, approvals and integrations.
• Manage Azure, 365 and identity: Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Defender.
• Build automations and integrations with ManageEngine, PowerShell, Power Automate and Graph API.
• Monitor and maintain office network, firewalls, switches, wireless and UPS.
• Maintain assets, configurations, software licenses and contracts in the service management platform.
• Deliver IT improvements and projects from planning through implementation; coordinate with vendors and security specialists.
