Job summary

Philips is hiring an experienced Senior IP Counsel in Eindhoven to lead licensing and IP strategy across audio/video technologies. You will work with global IP&S colleagues to protect Philips innovations, prosecute patents, and support licensing and litigation efforts.

You will require a strong technical background in electrical engineering or physics, an EQE, and 5+ years in IP drafting and portfolio management. The role supports hybrid work and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Evaluate invention disclosures to provide optimal protection and long-term value to Philips.
• Prepare, file, and prosecute high-quality patent applications meeting international standards.
• Support infringement and validity analysis and claim chart mapping to standards or use cases.
• Analyze third-party patents in relevant technology domains and provide counseling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global IP&S colleagues on invention evaluation and protection strategy.
• Drive patent portfolio management, licensing discussions, and IP-related negotiations.
• Support and participate in IP litigation and licensing activities as needed.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
