Job summary

Priva, located in De Lier between Rotterdam and The Hague, seeks a Systems Engineer to shape the next generation of IoT-enabled building automation. You will translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements and collaborate with hardware, embedded, and software teams to ensure long-term reliability.

This senior role emphasizes requirements management, traceability, V-model/V&V, and risk-based thinking to support audits, safety, and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in requirements/systems engineering for complex systems.
• Clear, unambiguous, testable requirements writing.
• Experience across hardware, embedded systems, and software teams.
• Experience with requirements management and traceability.
• Experience with V-model, lifecycle management, and V&V processes.

Responsibilities

• Capture stakeholder needs into clear, testable requirements.
• Build and maintain a structured requirements hierarchy.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from system requirements to release artifacts.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder alignment.
• Apply risk-based thinking (e.g. FMEA) to identify failure scenarios.
• Define and support Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies.
• Maintain versioning, baselining, and change control per audit/compliance standards.
• Ensure requirements are accessible across teams.
