Job summary

ViCentra B.V. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer, iOS to join the in-house mobile engineering team and lead the Kaleido App’s continued evolution. You will own iOS development, mentor engineers, and shape patient safety and product quality within a regulated context.

The role involves working with cross-functional teams to set technical direction, maintain high standards, and ensure compliance with medical-device regulations. This hybrid/on-site position is based in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software/computer engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience with Swift.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of testing practices for embedded apps, unit and integration testing.
• Fluency in English.
• Proven track record of delivering on time within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Preferred: experience in medical devices or regulated software.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain iOS applications (Swift) used with ViCentra's medical devices.
• Lead and contribute to projects across the full software development lifecycle.
• Set technical direction and coding standards for the iOS codebase.
• Lead peer code reviews and mentor engineers.
• Support verification, validation, and release activities and quality system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and medical device standards.
• Collaborate with usability, testing, systems, cloud, quality, and regulatory teams.
• Contribute to building a best-in-class mobile development environment within a regulated context.
• Stay current with iOS trends and raise the technical bar.
