Polarsteps, an Amsterdam-based travel app, seeks an experienced iOS Engineer to join a product-focused, cross-functional team. You will ship features, refine the app, and drive high-quality experiences for millions of travellers.

You’ll work with Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI, contributing to complex UI, concurrency, and performance optimizations while collaborating across PMs, designers, and engineers. Hybrid work model with 2 days in the office is offered.

Formación

• At least 3–5 years of hands-on iOS experience.
• Experience in an agile team environment.
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving with legacy code.
• Strong iOS development background with Swift; some Objective-C knowledge.
• Extensive experience with large apps published in the App Store.
• Deep knowledge of UIKit, SwiftUI and building complex user interfaces.
• Experience with multithreading (GCD, Combine, Swift Concurrency).
• Realm knowledge.
• Swift Package Manager is a bonus.
• Experience using Xcode Instruments to optimize performance/memory.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Github Actions).
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve development speed and code quality.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the iOS team to implement features across the app.
• Maintain day-to-day operations of the iOS app.
• Embed in a Product Pillar team with PMs, designers, and engineers.
• Proactively improve maintainability, resiliency and extensibility.
• Address technical debt when needed and prevent it where sensible.
• Improve performance and memory usage with profiling tools.
