Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or similar.
• 7+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or corporate venturing.
• Experience with sourcing, due diligence, valuations, structuring, and portfolio management.
• Ability to distinguish promising investments from weak proposals and understand relevant risks.

Senior Investment Manager, Venture Investing

PI Impact is looking for a Senior Investment Manager to join their team in Rotterdam. This role is crucial for shaping the success of their investment activities and making a meaningful long-term impact. You will work closely with a skilled investment team and lead the entire investment cycle while managing a high-performing portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, fund managers, and advisors.
• Identify and assess promising investments based on strategy, returns, risks, and impact.
• Lead and conduct due diligence, including market, financial, and commercial analyses.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present investment proposals.
• Support portfolio companies with strategic, operational, and organizational issues.
• Monitor and report on financial performance and impact of portfolio companies.

What You Need

• Master’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or similar.
• At least 7 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or corporate venturing.
• Experience with sourcing, due diligence, valuations, structuring, and portfolio management.
• Ability to distinguish promising investments from weak proposals and understand relevant risks.
• Experience with transactions and negotiations; VC Board experience is a plus.
• Affinity for impact investing; operational experience in a scale-up or innovative company is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
