Job summary

SBM Offshore Rotterdam seeks an experienced Valve Engineer in the Instrumentation department to design and specify process control valves, ensuring compliance with API 6A/6D, ISO and IEC standards, and integration into multi-disciplinary systems.

You will lead technical reviews, perform flow and material calculations, supervise FAT/SAT tests, support maintenance strategies, and mentor junior engineers across SBM locations worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required.
• At least 8 years in instrumentation valve engineering in upstream oil & gas.
• Fluent English in technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Valve selection, specification, and compliance with API, ISO, IEC standards.
• Perform flow, pressure, and material calculations; support integration with other systems.
• Support safety, QA/QC, FAT, SAT, and testing activities.
