Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. in Rotterdam seeks a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to design and engineer solutions for safety, reliability and sustainability on offshore installations.

You will lead conceptual and detailed design for control, safety and F&G systems, work with Clients and internal teams, and develop manuals, block diagrams and MTOs for offshore projects.

Candidates should have 8+ years in instrumentation, strong telecom knowledge, and advanced skills in SmartPlant Instrumentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in instrumentation design for offshore oil & gas.
• Experience with hazard areas and safety systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of interfaces with electrical, piping and process engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer instrumentation and telecoms for offshore installations.
• Develop Basis of Design, philosophies, specs, and datasheets.
• Lead manhour estimates for Concept, FEED, and EPC phases.
• Collaborate with discipline engineers and Supply Chain for bid reviews.
• Ensure regulatory and SBM standards compliance and interface alignment.
