Job summary

Elevation Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join an international SaaS platform. You will build, automate and scale the infrastructure, blending cloud, on-prem and software development practices.

Kubernetes, Azure and Python/Go form the core tech stack as you own the end-to-end lifecycle of our infrastructure tooling. You will collaborate across SRE, hosting, observability and developer experience teams, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to a resilient, scalable

Qualifications

• Ideally, you bring strong Python experience for infrastructure, backend or automation.
• Good knowledge of Linux and Bash.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
• Experience with Puppet or Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially Azure.
• Interest in AI-assisted or AI-native software development.

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys combining infrastructure with software development and automation? Would you like to build the technology that powers and manages an international SaaS platform used by millions of users? Then this could be an interesting opportunity for you!

About the position

Al As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will work on the technical foundation used to deploy, manage and automate a global SaaS platform.

This is not a traditional infrastructure administration role or a pure Cloud Architect position. You will actively build the tooling used to create, configure, update, migrate, back up and manage customer environments.

Kubernetes and containerization play an important role within the infrastructure, while Azure is currently the primary cloud platform. For backend development and automation, the team mainly works with Python and Go, alongside technologies such as Linux, SQL, Terraform, Puppet and Ansible.

You will take ownership of the full infrastructure lifecycle and continuously look for opportunities to automate manual processes and make the platform more scalable, reliable and efficient.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain scalable tooling for managing SaaS customer environments

• Collaborate closely with SRE, Hosting, Observability, Developer Experience and software development teams
• Participate in L2/L3 support and a rotating on-call schedule for complex or business-critical incidents.

Who are you?

You are an experienced engineer who does not simply want to maintain infrastructure, but wants to improve, automate and develop it. You enjoy working at the intersection of infrastructure and software engineering and prefer solving the underlying cause of a problem rather than repeatedly performing the same manual task.

• Ideally, you bring:Strong experience with Python, preferably for infrastructure, backend development or automation
• Good knowledge of Linux and Bash
• Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration or similar technologies
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, with Azure being particularly relevant
• Experience automating and managing complex production environments
• An interest in modern AI-assisted or AI-native software development
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical teams
