Job summary

Planet is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer focused on IAM to join our Corporate Engineering team. You will own the operation, development, and enhancement of Planet’s corporate infrastructure and identity ecosystem, acting as the technical authority for enterprise identity.

This hybrid role requires work from Haarlem/Berlin/Ljubljana offices three days per week, with on-call duties and emphasis on security, GDPR, and Zero Trust practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in infrastructure development/operations with IAM focus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Experience with large web apps and complex identity architectures (Okta/Auth0/Keycloak).
• Experience integrating HRIS with identity directories and edge cases.
• Solid understanding of networking and identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM).
• Knowledge of PKI and legacy directories like Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve internal IT systems and identity providers.
• Automate Joiner/Mover/Leaver workflows from HRIS.
• Develop provisioning connectors and enforce identity data minimization.
• Reduce operational toil via automation and self-healing systems.
• Use IaC to manage configurations across identity platforms.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response improvements.
• Collaborate with Security and IT to ensure GDPR and Zero Trust compliance.
