As a Senior HR Specialist, you will manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll activities, while supporting HR planning, people development, and compliance. The role focuses on operational excellence, independent ownership, and acting as a key HR contact for assigned functions. You will work closely with HR leadership and business stakeholders to ensure effective HR service delivery and support the company’s growth.
- Manage and execute day-to-day HR operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent delivery across HR activities.
- Manage the end-to-day payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with applicable tax, social insurance, and employment regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll processing and timely resolution of payroll-related issues.
- Act as a key HR contact for assigned functions, providing professional HR support and guidance to employees and managers.
- Support workforce planning, organisational structure management, and headcount control.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve HR and payroll processes, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with HR leadership and relevant stakeholders on HR and payroll-related matters and initiatives.
HR Planning & System Management
- Support the development and execution of quarterly and annual HR plans aligned with business objectives.
- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of HR systems, policies, and operational tools.
- Track HR action plans, timelines, and deliverables and prepare regular progress reports.
- Maintain accurate HR data and reporting through HR systems.
HR Service Delivery
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including contracts, onboarding, timekeeping, resignations, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Provide HR guidance and support on employee relations, disciplinary matters, and other employee-related issues.
- Maintain accurate HR records, headcount tracking, and employee documentation.
- Ensure consistent and timely delivery of HR services to assigned functions.
Compensation & Benefits Support
- Coordinate additional payments and employee benefit administration.
- Coordinate with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Support the accurate calculation, review, and reporting of Personal Income Tax (PIT) in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Manage and coordinate social insurance registration, changes, and compliance requirements.
- Support compensation-related activities and ensure accurate employee data and records.
Labor Law Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure HR operations comply with applicable labor laws, internal policies, and regulations.
- Provide support and guidance on employee relations, engagement, and disciplinary matters.
- Coordinate with Trade Union representatives and employee representatives where required.
- Support internal HR audits and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Stay informed of relevant changes in labor, payroll, tax, and employment regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a Senior HR or HR Specialist role.
- Solid hands‑on experience with payroll processing and administration.
- Good knowledge of Labor Law, Personal Income Tax, Social Insurance, and HR operations.
- Experience managing employee lifecycle processes and handling employee relations matters.
- Experience working with HRIS systems; experience with SAP or similar systems is an advantage.
- Experience in ride‑hailing, transportation, logistics, or fast‑growing companies is a strong advantage.
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and proactive approach.
- High integrity, ownership mindset, and strong collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to adapt and operate effectively in a fast‑changing and scaling environment.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage.
