Job summary

Backbase is evolving into an AI-native organization. The Senior HR Business Partner will partner with leaders in the Netherlands to drive a high-performance culture during transformation and growth.

This role focuses on workforce planning, talent management and supporting business transformations, not traditional policy work. You will coach managers, influence senior stakeholders, and work across Product, Technology, Services, and Corporate functions to translate priorities into people actions.

Qualifications

• HRBP experience in scaling tech/SaaS or fast-moving international environments
• Experience leading change with senior leaders
• Ability to operate in ambiguity while maintaining hands-on execution
• Strong understanding of Dutch employment law and employee relations
• Experience supporting organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management discussions
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders with confidence and pragmatism
• Clear communication with strong business acumen
• Experience collaborating across multiple functions and stakeholder groups

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership: Align organization design, talent, performance, and workforce decisions with business priorities and transformation goals.
• Performance & Talent Density: Drive a culture of accountability and high performance; support leaders in talent decisions and building high-performing teams.
• Manager Coaching & Leadership Support: Coach managers through performance conversations and organizational change.
• Transformation & Change: Guide teams through significant transformation, evolving operating models and capability shifts.
• Talent Management: Lead succession planning, performance management, and internal mobility discussions.
• Employee Relations & Governance: Partner with Legal on complex employee relations topics in the Netherlands and globally.
• Organizational Effectiveness: Advise on structure, productivity, and team design for short and long-term planning.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Learning, and People Operations.
