Job summary

FrieslandCampina seeks a Senior Food Contact Material Compliance Specialist to safeguard packaging compliance within its global portfolio at the R&D Packaging Department in Wageningen, NL. You will collaborate with two compliance experts and align with the Senior Expert on FCM for new legal developments.

You bring a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in food contact regulation, with knowledge of EU regs and familiarity with FDA/China GB.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Material Science, Chemistry, Packaging or Food Science.
• 7+ years of experience in food contact material regulation is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of European regulations; familiarity with FDA/China GB is a plus.
• Experience with data management systems and practical use of SAP-PLM, PowerBI and Excel.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure packaging materials comply with applicable food contact regulations across the global portfolio.
• Collaborate with two compliance experts and advise on packaging compliance documentation.
• Align with Senior Expert on FCM compliance regarding new legal developments.
• Monitor implementation of new regulations and ensure timely execution.
• Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders and external customers on safety and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a key contact for questions on food contact compliance.
