Job summary

CoolGames, with its Amsterdam HQ and remote teams, is seeking a Senior Game Designer to shape core progression, economy, and LiveOps for our free-to-play titles. You will own events and content roadmaps, balancing monetization with player engagement, and collaborate with an agile, multidisciplinary team to drive KPI-driven updates.

You will mentor other designers, translate player data into impactful changes, and stay ahead of market trends to keep our games fresh and competitive.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Senior Game Designer in mobile/web F2P
• Deep familiarity with top-grossing casual games and F2P mechanics
• Ability to translate data and KPIs into actionable design changes
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Experience in cross-functional teams and leadership/mentorship
• Bonus: game economy design, HTML5/web distribution experience

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the systems design for core loops, progression, rewards and economy
• Build and evolve a LiveOps strategy and content roadmap
• Design and implement in-game experiments and use results to inform decisions
• Prepare developer-ready design documents and balancing sheets
• Monitor market trends and pitch new content to fit audience
• Collaborate with design, engineering, art, QA, and marketing in an agile setup
• Present product vision and analyses to stakeholders and secure buy‑in
• Mentor other game designers to raise team craft
