Job summary

Lucky Kat Studios in The Hague is seeking a Senior Game Artist to define the visual direction of upcoming titles. You will shape concepts into production-ready prototypes, create stylised 2D and 3D assets, and work closely with developers and producers to ensure game feel is cohesive and polished.

You will lead a small team of artists, balance visual quality with rapid prototyping, and push forward an efficient art pipeline in a fast-paced mobile game environment.

Qualifications

• Deep passion for games and curiosity about art.
• Senior/Lead Artist with mobile game experience preferred.
• Fluent English in speech and writing.
• Strong visual design, composition, color, and hierarchy.
• 3D generalist: modelling, UVs, texturing, rigging, animation.
• Ability to lead a small team and give clear art direction.
• Comfort with AI-assisted tools for rapid exploration.
• Ability to manage multiple prototypes in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and ability to pitch ideas and take feedback.
• Willingness to self-learn new tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the visual direction from concepts to prototypes.
• Turn ideas into clear visual concepts quickly without overproduction.
• Plan art work across multiple prototypes balancing speed and quality.
• Create game-ready 2D/3D assets and implement in scenes.
• Collaborate with developers/producers to ensure cohesive game feel.
• Provide directional feedback to peers to maintain visual consistency.
• Improve art pipeline and processes for team efficiency.
