Job summary

Jobtailor in Amsterdam seeks a veteran full-stack engineer to own and evolve our core backend in Django and frontend in React/TypeScript. You'll design scalable APIs for users, orders, shipping, and partner tools while driving system-wide improvements.

Qualifications

10+ years as a full-stack developer
Fluent in Python (Django) and JavaScript/TypeScript (React)
Experience building SaaS in production
Strong PostgreSQL and ORM skills

Responsibilities

Develop and refine backend (Django) and frontend (React + TypeScript)
Create and improve APIs for users, orders, shipping, and partner tools
Build integrations with Shopify and Mendrix
Scale cloud hosting on GCP (AWS in future)
Ensure scalable, future-proof stack
Architect multi-tenant SaaS solutions
Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to align technical plans with business goals
Set high standards for code quality, testing, and CI/CD
Mentor developers and foster engineering excellence
Identify opportunities to innovate and improve
