Job summary

TRACT is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Amsterdam to drive the development of our insight platform. You’ll work across the stack with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and React with TypeScript, applying spec-driven development and trunk-based workflows behind feature flags.

You’ll lead significant initiatives, potentially stepping into a Lead Engineer role, shaping RFCs, and aligning Product and Design.

Qualifications

7+ years in industry with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Proficient in Python and React with TypeScript; familiar with FastAPI, PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
Strong foundation in system design and software architecture.
Rigorous reviewer who reads full diffs and challenges unintended changes.
Experience using AI coding tools and balancing benefits with technical debt.

Responsibilities

Own design, implementation, deployment and monitoring of software across the stack.
Draft RFCs and technical specs; guide the team and coordinate with Product and Design.
Review and validate code through rigorous diff analysis and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate on architecture and drive end-to-end ownership and quality.
