Job summary

Learned is seeking a Web & Mobile Full Stack Developer to strengthen our Utrecht team. You will build and improve our SaaS platform across mobile, web and backend, focusing on a React Native mobile app and a React web frontend with scalable Node.js APIs.

You’ll work in a 6-person dev team in Utrecht, with 11 colleagues in Sri Lanka, and enjoy a hybrid setup with 3+ days in the office. Expect growth, AI feature work, and a personal development budget.

Qualifications

• You live in the Netherlands and can work from Utrecht office at least 3 days per week.
• Around 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• At least 1 year of experience building production apps in React Native.
• Solid experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js, including REST APIs.
• Experience building or integrating AI features in a product.
• You enjoy switching between mobile, frontend and backend, owning features end-to-end.
• You communicate clearly and confidently in English.

Responsibilities

The opportunity
As our new Web & Mobile Full Stack Developer, you’ll help build and improve our SaaS platform across all surfaces: mobile, web and backend. You’ll work on our React Native mobile app as we scale it into a fully independent experience for mobile-first markets. You’ll contribute just as actively to our web platform, from intuitive user interfaces in React to scalable APIs and backend services in Node.js .

Your average week in Utrecht:

Building and shipping new features in our React Native mobile app (around 50% of your time)

Building and shipping new features on our web platform, with React on the frontend and Node.js on the backend (around 50% of your time)

Shaping features together with product and design to improve the user experience

Working in structured weekly sprints with your team

Writing clean, scalable and maintainable code in TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js and MongoDB

Building and improving performant, secure REST APIs

Contributing to technical discussions and architecture decisions, including our mobile strategy

Reviewing pull requests to keep quality high

Improving developer workflows, CI/CD and automated testing

Owning features from idea to deployment, across mobile and web

The team
You’ll join a development team of 6 developers in Utrecht, working closely with 11 colleagues in Sri Lanka through a buddy system that keeps lines short. The team is led by Alex, our CTO. We’re an international company of 55 people (7+ nationalities) serving 350+ customers, increasingly at enterprise level. With the EU Pay Transparency Directive coming up, demand for our product is growing fast, and so is our roadmap.

Job requirements

The musts

You already live in the Netherlands and can work from our Utrecht office at least 3 days a week

Around 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer

At least 1 year of experience building production apps in React Native

Solid experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js (or comparable stacks), including REST APIs

Experience building or integrating AI features in a product (e.g. LLM features, agents or retrieval)

You enjoy switching between mobile, frontend and backend, and owning features end-to-end

You communicate clearly and confidently in English

You’re proactive, take ownership and love learning together through feedback

The nice-to-haves

Experience with MongoDB or similar databases

Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and cloud infrastructure

Experience publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play

Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally HR tech

A salary between €4,000 and €5,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours, depending on experience), with room to grow
