Job summary

Learned is expanding its development team in the Netherlands. We’re looking for a Medior Full Stack Developer to grow into a senior role, working on our SaaS platform in Utrecht.

You’ll work across the stack with MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js, collaborating with product, design, and fellow engineers to turn ideas into impactful features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Proficient with the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js.
• Strong UX sense on frontend and backend.
• Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn.
• Ambitious to grow towards a Lead Developer role.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve the SaaS platform across the full stack.
• Create intuitive user interfaces with React and scalable APIs with Node.js.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers to turn ideas into features.
• Work in structured weekly sprints and maintain code quality through reviews.
• Own features from idea to deployment and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Improve CI/CD processes and automated testing.

Please note: for this role, it’s important that you already live in the Netherlands and are able to work from our Utrecht office at least three days a week.

Together, we make the difference – here’s what you’ll do

As a Medior Full Stack Developer , you’ll play a key role in building and improving our SaaS platform. You’ll work across the entire stack – from creating intuitive user interfaces in React to developing scalable APIs and backend services with Node.js.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to turn ideas into impactful features our customers truly love.

Your average week in Utrecht looks like this:

Collaborating with product and design teams to shape and build new features that enhance the user experience

Working in structured weekly sprints together with your team

Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB

Building and improving performant and secure REST APIs

Contributing to technical discussions and architecture decisions

Reviewing pull requests and collaborating closely with your team to maintain high quality

Continuously improving developer workflows, CI/CD processes, and automated testing

Taking ownership of features from idea to deployment

Job requirements

You’re someone who enjoys building impactful, scalable applications and likes to take ownership of your work. You’re eager to grow, both technically and professionally, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

You have around 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer and feel comfortable working with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js , React, Node.js )

You have a strong eye for user experience – both frontend and backend

You enjoy collaborating with others, sharing feedback, and learning together

You’re proactive, solution-oriented, and always looking for ways to improve

You’re ambitious and excited to grow towards a Lead Developer role

Most importantly: you’re curious, eager to learn, and excited about building a product that helps people grow at work – just like you

What can you expect from us?

A salary between €4.000 – €5.500 gross per month (based on 40 hours & depending on experience), with room to grow
