Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer in Gdańsk, Poland. You will own critical firmware components, including secure boot, OTA/FOTA updates, and integration with sub-GHz devices, contributing to EN50131 Grade 3 compliant security systems.

Qualifications

• Strong Embedded C experience.
• Cybersecurity background.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of RTOS and bare-metal development.
• Experience debugging embedded systems.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for critical firmware components and influence hardware design, communication protocols, and cybersecurity implementation across multiple product lines.
• Define Everon product family integration logic for EN50131 Grade3 compliant devices.
• Ensure the quality of the solution by working closely with the QA team and performing debugging and bug‑fixing activities.
• Support verification, validation, certification, and production processes with technical expertise.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams during development and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and internal development guidelines.
• Work with global engineering teams across time zones to ensure consistent implementation and knowledge sharing.
